Happy Birthday JAREL

Today was Jarel's 34th birthday! It was such a nice relaxing day for everyone. Jarel worked in the morning...but was home just after lunch. The girls and I decorated the house for his birthday, we played the wii, the girls gave him presents, went to dinner with Jarel's parents and Jarel was able to get his cheese fries that he had been craving all week, and then we sang "Happy Birthday" and had cake. I try to make their birthday a fun and special day...and I hope I did it for him. I LOVE you and hope you had a great day!!

Volleyball

Tonight Makena wanted to play ball with Jarel and so Jarel was teaching Makena some volleyball skills. Makena was so excited! After Jarel showed her how to hold her hands to hit the ball...Makena wouldn't hold her hands any other way. It was so cute to watch her really concentrating on her proper hold of her hands. She was doing pretty well and hitting the ball right back to Jarel. It was just one of those good nights where the kids weren't fighting and we were just playing and having fun.

Tyler loved watching the ball go back and forth...but also go mad when he couldn't have the ball all the time

UTAH UTES

Today Jarel and I went to the Utah Utes football game against San Diego State. This was a surprise for Jarel. I took him for his birthday. I didn't tell him until that morning. I asked Jarel the day before what he wanted to do Saturday and he said, "it is going to be cold...I think I just want to stay inside." Well, we don't always get what we want in life, do we? He was pleasantly surprised that we were going. We went with my brother (Jacob) and sister-in-law (Katie). It was a fun time. Despite being cold...we managed to stay warm with hot chocolate and churros. Utah won the game!! It has been awhile since Jarel and I just went on a little outing with no kids. We dropped the kids off at Jarel's parent's (thanks for watching them) house and boy did we come home to a mess! Kali had popped in her diaper and decided that it was a good idea to take her diaper off and put poop all over Grandma and Grandpa's downstairs carpet. It was so nasty and everywhere. Needless to say...we spent the next 2 1/2 hours scrubbing and cleaning poop out of their carpet. We ended up getting a carpet cleaner...and I was so relieved that the poop came out! Just wondering, Uncle Courtney, if you want to watch Kali again?!?!?!

Ten Months

My little man is 10 months old. Time goes by way too fast. He is now crawling all over the place, pulling himself up to things and walking across furniture. He gets where he wants to go. He loves yogurt, squash, hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, yogurt bites and anything sweet.

He is approx. 31 inches and 23 pounds.

Good Times

The kids were having such a good time this morning...I grabbed my camera and here are a few shots that we captured. They were playing with a bucket, balls and dancing. It was a good time.

Makena practicing her dance moves while I was getting the video camera ready.

Kali playing hide and seek...can you find her?

The movies below: Makena was practicing dancing and wanted me to take a video of her. She is dancing to the tune "London Bridges." It was so funny to watch and when she fell down...that was it. She couldn't stop laughing. Kali then wanted to dance and show off her moves. But when I started taping...she got embarrassed and didn't do a whole lot...but she was dancing to "I am a Child of God." And then the video of Tyler just showing off his ability to pull up to the couch and walk a little across it.

Hope you enjoy!
