Sunday Fun

This was Hailey as we were getting ready for church. She came out of her room wearing the doctor glasses and then was in her room just jabbering away while riding her car.

Funny Pictures

Just the kids goofing off one night.

Tyler wanting a picture with his pj's over his head
Hailey trying to get the glasses over her eyes
Kali thinking she is funny that she is wearing her swimsuit to bed

Success!!
Makena wanted to wear layers to bed that night

Roll of the Tongue

Kali was so excited when she learned she could roll her tongue like Mom and Dad! I had to take a picture of it.

Attack of the Hailey Monster!!

This was taken back in November, but I just found it on my camera. Hailey likes to "get" people. If someone is lying on the ground and you tell Hailey to go get them, she will tickle them and sit on them. Tyler happened to be the lucky one that night!

Computer Free

Since Kali was little and we used both bedrooms upstairs for the kids, the computer/office has been in our room. And since then, I have wanted it OUT OF MY ROOM!! Finally the day came that the computer came downstairs!!
While putting it downstairs, Hailey and Tyler needed to climb into the desk the entire time Jarel was hooking up the computer. They had a great time.
While we were putting the computer together, Makena was working hard on making a Christmas Tree with this kit we have. She was so proud and did a great job!

Ducks and more Ducks

We took the kids to Daybreak Lake to feed the ducks. It was a nice day to do so. Always fun to get out and walk by the water and just have a good time.

Hailey looking at the ducks. We couldn't keep her away from them. She loved going right down by the water to look at them.
Loves of my life!!

so many pokes

I forgot to post this when I took Hailey into the doctor for her 15 month appointment.
We went the end of December. This was a "study visit" (Hailey is part of a study for a shot and this visit was one that she had to have blood drawn.)
The doctor portion of the visit went great. Dr. Dallen says all looks great with Hailey.
Then she got her 4 shots and that was not a pleasant experience.
But the worse part was when the study nurse came in to draw blood from Hailey. She looked at both arms, went for her left one and without luck couldn't get the vein. Hailey was screaming and I was trying to calm her down and hold her little arm so it wouldn't move while they were trying to retrieve blood. The nurse finally pulled out that needle, and we put a warm pack on her right arm hoping she would be able to find a vein there. She came back in about 10 minutes. As soon as she put the tourniquet on her right arm, the tears came fast and the screaming began. Hailey knew what was going to happen. It was heartbreaking to watch her go through that. The nurse tried to poke the vein and again failed at that attempt. The nurse was done, Hailey was done and so was I. I didn't want them trying again. And thank goodness she said that she was not going to try again to poke her.

We gathered up our stuff and left. Hailey calmed down pretty well once we got outside. But her poor little limbs looked like pin cushions. She had 4 bandaids between her 2 legs and 2 bandaids on her arms.

She got whatever she wanted to eat that day from all she went through.

We had to go back at the end of January for another try to get blood. When we walked into the room, the nurse looked at her arms and said, "I'm not even going to try today. She is done with the study!" I was so relieved at that. And so grateful she didn't try poking her arms again "just to see" if she could get a vein. I don't think I would do a study again that involves blood draws. It was not a fun experience. I'm glad the study is done with and she won't have to go through that again.

3 year old checkup

Today, Tyler had his 3 year old check up with Dr. Dallen.
He was excited to go see Dr. Dallen and get a toy at the end of his checkup.
The toy he picked was a pink duck with fuzzy hair that he can use in the bathtub.
He got no shots today!!
Here are his stats:
Weight 34 lbs (75%)
Height 38.2 inches (75%)
Body Mass Index 16.37 BMI (65%)
