Kali's first day of 1st Grade

Kali's first day of school was today (yesterday she met with her teacher). She is super excited to start but isn't quite sure of this all day school. She has lots of friends from our neighborhood in her class and she has a great teacher as well, Miss Wilcox. Kali will do great in school!

First Day of School - Makena

Today is Makena's first day of school. She is excited and nervous to start. This year she is in a class where she doesn't know a lot of kids, but she is confident she will meet knew friends (I think she is right!). She has a great teacher, Miss Pettey. Can't believe she is in the 3rd grade already.

Annual Camping Trip

Catching critters. Tyler sat for hours during the time we were camping catching these little guys. He loved it and was so patient. So a story: Tyler caught a chipmunk but it was starting to get away, so I told Tyler to hurry and run over and hold the bucket down. He ran over and pushed the bucket down and the poor chipmunk's head, so his body was under the bucket and his head was out of the bucket, which ment the bucket was on his neck. We hurried and lifted the bucket off his neck and the little chipmunk just laid there. Tyler looked up and asked if he was dead. It was sad and I hoped he wasn't dead, but he laid there for quite a while. Finally he got up and tried running off but was stumbling down the path. We watched him and he was twitching, but finally ran off. We felt bad and we hoped he survived.
