Great Brain Report

Today at school, Kali presented to her class her great brain report on horses. She did such a great job. She had gone to my Aunt Erma's house and interviewed her about horses. We took pictures of the horses while we were at Erma's house. We printed some off, and wrote her report. Kali held up the pictures and told her class some facts about the horses. Afterwards she answered all of the kids questions and she was AWESOME. In order to get her distinguished dolphin award for school, she needed to do the great brain report.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Braxton

He chose to go to Arctic Circle for dinner. I was naming places to go eat and at first he picked Cafe Rio, but when Tyler reminded him that Arctic Circle has a slide, he decided that was the place to go and eat. He likes to eat the corn dogs, french fries and vanilla ice-cream dipped in butterscotch. We went Monday night, since his birthday was on a Sunday this year.

Cute little birthday boy

Trying to hold up his fingers to show me 2. He couldn't quite do it, even with me helping. It was pretty funny to watch him try. He was so cute doing it.

His Birthday day dinner we had pizza (one of his favorite foods lately) and fruit.

While I was having Braxton take pictures with all the grandparents, he saw Dad and insisted on a picture with him!

Getting ready for us to sing to him. We had ice-cream sundaes will all his favorite treats to go with it.

All day long he was saying "Hap Birthday to ME!"
so cute. Even during sacrament he started belting it out.

Grandparents and Us decided to go in and get him his 4 wheeler. It arrived on Monday (he opened up a beach toy package from his siblings on his actual birthday). When he opened up the 4 wheeler he was so excited. Dad put it together and he kept saying, "My wheeler" and would scream if anyone else touched it. The battery had to charge for 18 hours…but he was happy to just be sitting on it in the house.

Out riding his 4 wheeler. He can actually do a good job at steering it. He got scared when the wheel got stuck and started to spin crazy. He didn't like that and wanted off. But after awhile, he was back on it. He loves it!

Braxton went to the doctor for his 2 year checkup and he weighs 27 1/2 pounds (50%) and is 37.5 inches tall (above 100%). He is growing just great. He had no shots and was able to get a token to get a ball from the prize machine.

Some of his favorite things: swinging, playing outside, pizza, most fruits, cereal, chips, fruit snacks, pretty much anything treats that contain sugar, jumping on the trampoline, seeing Grandpas and Grandmas, playing with cars and balls, wearing his helmet, blowing bubbles, his pacifier, sleeping by my bed and in our bed, climbing on the top of the couches, when I hold him he loves putting his hand down the back of my shirt. He will do this every time I hold him.
He brings so much happy to our house. He is talking like crazy these past few months. He loves to tattle tell on his siblings. He gives the best hugs and kisses. He is getting more and more independent and he is so much fun!! Love this little man of mine!

Dad/Tyler outing

Jarel and Tyler had a little outing to fill the van up with fuel and to go to Harmons. While they were out they sent me this picture! I loved getting it. Made me smile.

RSL Game

Kali had the awesome opportunity to walk a RSL player out on the field before tonights soccer game. She was so excited, and has been looking forward to this for awhile now. They each got a white uniform to wear. Before the game, her and I went to Zupas for dinner and then headed up to the game. We had to be their 1 hour early to make sure the kids were dressed in their uniforms and ready. Kali got to walk out #15 Alvaro Saborio. They stood out on the field while they sang the national anthem and then they came off the field. Kali got really excited when Saborio scored a goal! She kept asking during the game, "where is #15?" It was a really neat experience and a great night for the 2 of us. Kali got tired during half time and fell asleep, so we left the game early. RSL scored 2 goals early on, but the other team came back and scored 2. So the game ended in a tie. It was raining all day, but the rain lightened up during the game and it started raining again when we left. So we were blessed and prayers were answered that we escaped the rain while we were out watching the soccer game!

This is the Place

They had 3 of these tubs full of baby chicks. This was a huge hit for the kids!

When Braxton got this chick…I think he squeezed the chick too hard, the poor chick was chirping like crazy.

They had an open area that these goats roamed and we allowed in to go in and pet them.

Love how Braxton hand is on Makena's arm. He wanted to pet the goat but not get too close!

Riding the train around the park

Panning for gold

Riding the mini train. We got to ride it around 2 times. This was the best thing around for these kids. They had such a fun time on the train. It went around a pond that had lots of geese around it.

Geese with their babies. These geese would be up at the top of the hill and when we would come by on the train, they would all go down the hill. Once we passed, they would make their way back up to the top. I wonder how many times these geese go up and down that hill.

We were able to go to This is the Place today. I haven't been up there since I was a teenager. So this was a first for all of us. I remember just going up there looking at a statue and walking around reading signs. Not much fun if you asked me. But they opened up a village that all sorts of activities for the kids and buildings from the pioneers to go in. It was baby season up there, so lots of baby animals were out. We were up there for about 2 1/2 hours and unfortunately didn't get to see everything, but that just means we will go back up again. We had such a fun time up there. I even enjoyed myself. It was fun to hang out with Neil and watch the kids enjoy their selves. Afterwards we went out to dinner and then hung out at Neil and Shirley's for a bit. Such a fun day today!
