Science Fair

 Tyler had his science fair today at school. He wanted to make geodes! So I looked on pintrest for ideas on how to make them. Then we gathered our ingredients and made our own geodes. Tyler was thrilled! He put 2 geodes in the solution for 12 hours and the other 2 for 24 hours to see the difference in crystal sizes. 

At school he set up his display and told his teacher and classmates his experiment. He did a great job!

Jarel got his new work truck today! 

Hailey and Ayden

Hailey waited for Ayden after school today so she could give him a hug. Whenever they see each other…they run to each other and hug. It is cute.

*update on Marc

Marc hasn't been doing well lately. His health is declining. After Marc's last round with chemo…and the chemo not really helping…he decided that he no longer wanted to do chemo. There wasn't much the Dr could do for him anymore. Hailey hasn't been able to see Marc for a couple of weeks now because Marc doesn't feel well and also really doesn't want visitors. He also doesn't want Hailey to see him declining. But everyday, Hailey looks for Ayden (with me working at the kids school…Hailey gets to see Ayden when we go in to help my diabetic kid) and I am glad Hailey can see Ayden!

Followup

Kali had her follow up appt today from getting her tonsils out. The Dr says every thing looks great and it is healing just fine. She has been cleared to exercise and eat whatever she wants.

Fun Day

Yesterday was a fun day. It snowed and the kids were so excited! Right after breakfast they got dressed and went outside to play in the snow.

That afternoon we went to Thanksgiving point Discovery museum to get out of the house and let the kids run around. 

Then we went on a donut run to Krispie Kreme donuts! Kids enjoy watching the donuts get made and then getting to eat a nice warm donut…and Jarel and I enjoy it too!

Boys!

Tyler had to "hide" the turkey so he wouldn't get eaten for Thanksgiving. Him and Jarel worked on it to make the turkey a Dallas Cowboy football player!

It snowed a few flurries today…but the boys were excited and tried to catch a snowflake on their tongue!

Tower

Me and Hailey and Braxton go twice a month to help out in Tyler's class. Tyler's teacher Mr Joshua is very kind to allow my kids to come play with the kindergarten kids. They go around doing 6 centers with a variety of activities.

Recovery

Kali's tonsils removal are healing nicely. The white things are the scabs forming. We had some rough days where her throat really hurt and she didn't want to eat or drink much…but we got fluid down her so she wouldn't become dehydrated. We kept her on her pain meds around the clock so it would be easier for her. Kali has done fantastic with the recovery! She was a trooper. She went to school today and I brought in some medicine mid day…but she was able to stay all day. She is getting sick of eating ice cream and popsicles, so we are finding other things she can eat. 

Aquarium

There was a new section at the aquarium (a jungle gym) that the kids absolutely loved! So much fun watching them run all over the place and try all the new things out.
