Riding a 2-wheeler

Kali learned today how to ride a 2-wheeler. She is SO EXCITED!!
A couple of days ago, Jarel and I got out there and helped her ride the bike. She was doing pretty well the first day and I knew it wouldn't take her long at all to get the hang of it. We practiced again last night and she was able to go quite far all by herself. Tonight, I was holding Braxton and Jarel was at work (these pictures were from the first night of practicing) and Kali wanted to go ride her bike. I told her I wouldn't be able to really help her this time because I was holding Braxton. Kali would get on her bike, I would walk by her until she was going too fast for me to keep up. At one point, I went and sat down and she asked if I could help her again, I told her I needed to feed Braxton and so she took it upon herself and was determined to get the bike going all by herself. And guess what...SHE DID IT!!! She can now just get on the bike and start peddling and off she goes. I knew it wouldn't take long at all. She was just all smiles and so excited that she could ride a bike. Now we are off to look for a new bike for her!

24th of July

We got shaved ice on the way to Grandma and Grandpa's house because I told Makena if she went down the big water slide at our water party, I would take her to get a shaved ice. Just had to keep my promise!

Tyler wanted Grandpa's help at first, but then decided it wasn't as scary as he thought and went down by himself.

Showing me her dirty hands.

Makena trying not to go down the slide to fast

Tyler going to get Grandpa with water

Makena warming up in the little pool. Grandpa put it out early in the day to get the water nice and warm.

Mischievous look, going after Grandpa with a cup of water.

Kali was being so silly, going down the slide like this. She cracks me up.

Hailey loved eating the raw corn right off the cob

Eating dinner with cousins

Tyler was making all these silly faces and then wanting me to take his picture.

Pioneer day was spent watching the parade on TV, eating shaved ice and spending the aftrnoon/evening at Grandpa and Grandma Boyack's house. A nice hot but overcast day, so perfect for playing in the water outside.
