Last Day of School

Miss Wilcox presenting Makena with her Distinguished Dolphin award. Every year, the kids have requirements that they have to accomplish in order to earn their award. Some are more difficult than others, but Makena worked hard all year to earn this award. Some things she had to do were: know the different coins and their values, tie shoes, know her phone number and address, the great brain project, book report, participate in a service project, participate in an extra activity like soccer and report on it, few tardies and absences. She did a great job and getting these goals done!

Braxton- 2 months

My little guy is 2 months old. Time flies.

We went to the doctor today and Braxton checked out great.

He is 13.14 lbs (87%)

24 inches tall (90%)

16.1 inches for his head (92%)

A big little man...but not surprised.

He got 3 shots today at the doctors.

He is in size 2 diapers. Is wearing 3-6 month clothes.

He loves giving big smiles. He is not a fan of the carseat. He will scream and scream until he is taken out. And sometimes it can be for 10 or more minutes. It is so sad to hear him, but I figure it is better to just hurry and get home and then get him out, rather than stopping somewhere to calm him down.

He loves looking at the ceiling fan. Is cooing all the time and will look at you and "talk" to you and smile. He only wakes up usually once during the night. Still loves being held. Eating like crazy. I will sometimes have to supplement him with formula because he isn't getting enough from me. 

Splash Park

On Monday we took the kids to the splash park for FHE. What a fun night. So fun to watch the kids play in the water and Jarel recruited Tyler to chase Makena around the park. It wasn't too crowded and not too hot because we went at night. All around...a fun night and a fun way to spend time together.
