The girls had their first tumbling performance tonight! They did a great job. Some of the girls got a little confused on part of the song, and they had to restart the song over, but in the end...THEY DID A FANTASTIC JOB! After the tumbling routine was done, they each got a medal that they couldn't have been more proud to wear and show people. They have worked really hard this year on their tumbling skills and both have improved over the year! GREAT JOB GIRLS...ONE PROUD MOMMA!

Mother's Day
I love being a mom to these 5 little ones! The help put things into perspective for me of what really matters in this life.
I am grateful for my mom as well. An example of Christ like kindness that I hope one day to follow in her footsteps!

Boys and a Dirt Pile...
Our next door neighbors are redoing their front yard. The boys saw a big pile of dirt and couldn't resist. They were having a great time!
Happy 6th Birthday!
Kali is 6 today! Kali is full of life and loves making new friends, talking with anyone who will listen, giving drawings to the cashiers at Walmart, the color purple, chicken nuggets, chunky peanut butter, anything and everything Dora or Tinkerbell related, a big helper, loves babies, a good student in Kindergarten, spunky, soccer player, tumbling, makes us laugh, a blessing in our life!
This year, her birthday was all about Dora. I thought she would have outgrown this phase of Dora, but it continues on. She loves watching the shows and getting Dora toys. So when I saw lots of Dora Rocks products back in January at Target, I knew I needed to get them for her party. She was in heaven all day. Started the day with breakfast donuts, friend party, dinner at Artic Circle and cupcakes afterwards.
Kali has a heart of gold and is always trying to do the right thing. Sometimes it is hard for her to do, but she tries and I am proud of her for that. Hope you had a great day!

Fun Run
The girls had their annual fun run for the school. Every year, each kid donates money to help with field trips and they get a t-shirt and get to run. Kali and Makena have been looking forward to this for weeks now. I ran/walked it with Makena and Grandma Boyack went with Kali. Makena did a great job and ran most of the way. I didn't think Kali would run it (so I gave her to Grandma...knowing she probably didn't want to run it all either!), but Grandma told me that Kali ran almost the entire run!
I was so proud of my girls and all the running they did! It was so fun to participate this year and see the girls in action! Molly came and watched the little ones so we could go with the girls.

Lehman's Cave
Dad catching horny toads for the kids.
The only brave one to hold it!
On the way to the caves we stopped at a spot that early settlers founded and saw where their houses would be.
Showing where the houses would have been
Tyler wanted a picture of the stink bugs...they were all over.
The visitor center at the Lehman Caves...Hailey thought this was a real puppy and loved looking at it.
The kids found puppets to play with.
There was a trail by the caves that we walked on, while waiting for our tour to start, and we saw little lizards and a wood cabin.
Inside the caves
In this tunnel is where they showed us what an earthquake would sound like.
Area around the caves that we drove to and let the kids out (and adults) to stretch and play.
These 2 were "talking" to eachother and then Braxton grabbed Hailey to give her loves and kisses!
Love. Love. Love.
Nothing like finding half of a bunny in the middle of nowhere. Hailey carried that around for quite some time!
Paul Bunyan's Hike
Rocks that look like a pile of wood.
This past weekend we went on a road trip with Grandpa and Grandma Hathaway to the Lehman Caves in Nevada. This was a spontaneous trip. It was about a 4 hour drive and the kids did great in the car. We were out in the middle of nowhere. We had no cell phone service, we stayed in a motel (the nearest big town is 100 miles away) which had the motel in the Utah side and the restaurant and gambling area on the Nevada side. So we were right on the border of the 2 states. We had a very fun time. We searched for horny toads behind the motel, we went into the caves on a tour, drove around the camp grounds near the caves and got out and enjoyed the scenery. We left on Friday and got back Sunday. The caves were very neat to go inside and see. At one point they turned off all the lights and just a candle was lit showing us what the founder of these caves was seeing when he first came into the cave. They also showed us what it would sound like inside a cave during an earthquake. They told us a cave is a safe spot to be during an earthquake. The kids loved seeing all the formations, walking up the stairs in the caves and being with Grandpa and Grandma for the entire weekend! On the way home we went on a hike to Paul Bunyan's Wood Pile. It was a longer hike than expected and I wasn't quite sure if we would make it to the top, but we all did (with a few cuts and bruises) and it was fun to be so high up and see all around us. Once we spotted a snake, it was off the "wood pile" rocks and back to the cars. We love doing these outings!
