Memorial Day

Today we went to my parents to roast hotdogs and smores and spend time with family for this Memorial Day. We had an enjoyable time.

Tyler and Ryan couldn't wait for the marshmallows to be done before they started eating their cookies!

Graduation

Today, Makena graduated from preschool. She has had a very fun, exciting, wonderful year. She has truly enjoyed preschool and is sad that she won't be able to see Miss Marcie on a weekly basis. But she will be able to see Miss Marcie one last time, because Miss Marcie is getting married on Makena's birthday and we get to "go to Miss Marcie's party and have ice-cream." I can't believe she is done and getting ready for Kindergarten. Crazy how time goes so fast. Makena is excited to start Kindergarten, just not excited to have to go 5 days a week. She will have a fantastic time at the "big school."

Bowling and Pizza

Last night for FHE we took the kids to Fat Cats for pizza and bowling. It was a fun night. We bowled 2 games and Kali won the first one...needless to say Jarel and I were terrible that game. The second game was better and Jarel and I tied for the win. The food was GOOD, but the company was GREAT!!

Tyler going after the pins.

Kali throwing a fit because it wasn't her turn to bowl. Good thing the bowling alley was loud that no one really paid too much attention to us.

Kali looking down the bowling lane to see how many pins she knocked down.

Kali helping Makena get the "heavy ball" down the lane.

Tyler going to watch the ball come up. He loved looking at the balls going down the lane and coming up out of the ball return.

Tyler with a mouth full of pizza and breadsticks.

Makena bowling. She got quite a few strikes/spares and would jump up and down when she did. She wasn't too impressed that when she got a strike, she only got to bowl one ball down for that turn.

Tyler has been loving wearing these sunglasses. When he puts them on, he will come up to you and say "itty" (pretty). One COOL dude! Even if they are pink!

WILD THINGS

Here are some pictures from 2 games of soccer for Makena. She is really enjoying soccer and loves going. From the first game, to these games, she has improved so much. She is much more aggressive and gets in there with the boys and goes after the ball. She has scored 1 goal this season...and she was so excited about that...and has gotten very close to scoring 3 more. Her coach said that if he gave out awards, Makena would get "most improved." She has 2 more games left of the season!

Trip to the Zoo

Today we took a trip up to the Hogle Zoo. It was a fun time. We saw all the animals, ate lunch, rode the train and hung out with Grandma and cousins!

Kali is 3

Happy Birthday KALI!

Today she turned 3 years old. She has been celebrating her birthday since Sunday when we went to Grandpa and Grandma Boyack's house for Mother's day/Birthday. She got to open some presents, have us all sing Happy Birthday to her, and eat her mud and worm cupcakes. It was a fun evening for her, and she was so excited.

Opening up an outfit from Grandpa and Grandma Kofoed. When I told her to go give Grandpa and Grandma Kofoed hugs and say thankyou, she ran to Grandpa and Grandma Boyack. She was quite confused for a minute as to which Grandpa and Grandma she was suppose to hug. She got it eventually and gave them each a big hug!

Opening up some cotton candy...yummmm, sugar!

Opening up blocks from Grandpa and Grandma Boyack. She did just the opposite when asked to give Grandpa and Grandma hugs. She ran to Grandpa Kofoed and gave him hugs. She then realized it wasn't the right Grandpa, and ran over and gave Grandpa and Grandma Boyack hugs and kisses.

Her mud and worm cupcakes. I was looking one day on the internet trying to come up with some ideas for her cupcakes this year, and when I came across the mud and worm idea, she LOVED it and that is what she wanted. It suites her perfectly.

Kali joined in with us as we sang "Happy Birthday to you."

Blowing out her candles.

BIG SMILE!

Kali got a bubble blowing bug from Aunt Heather and Uncle Andrew and this was Tyler chasing after the bubbles.

Here is Kali blowing the bubbles.

Today for her birthday...Kali wanted to go to the zoo, but it was 49 degrees and raining, so we decided to go to the Dinosaur Museum where it would be warm and dry. She loves going and digging up dinosaur bones, playing in the water building sand traps for the dinosaurs, running around the museum, and just having fun being a kid. After the dinosaur museum, our tradition has been to go to Del Taco for lunch. There they can play on the toys and eat their favorite Mexican food, quesadillas!

This evening, we went to Chick-Fil-A for dinner (Kali's pick) and were able to have Grandpa and Grandma Hathaway come with us. Kali wanted "chicken nuggets for my birthday" and she also was able to run and play on the toys. Grandpa and Grandma brought her a present and she opened it and found 2 Dora movies and Pez candy. She wanted Dora really bad this year for a present, and she was so excited. She watched one this evening and is ready to watch the other tomorrow. After dinner, we came home and had donuts and sang Happy Birthday and then she got our present. It was a very fun birthday this year for her!

To my crazy, sweet, full of energy, cuddly, fun Kali. LOVE YOU!!! You bring so much joy and laughter into my life. You are a blessing to have. I hope you had a great day!
