When I went to pick her up, I asked her how her day was and she told me, "Mom, I think I'm going to like this class." I was so glad to see her happy and that she had a fantastic day. She also got a ding-dong that said on it, "my first day of Kindergarten was a piece of cake." Makena was excited to show me a DVD that she got to bring home and gets to watch everyday for 3 weeks to help her learn her letter sounds. That won't be hard homework at all :)
It was a great day for her. Can't believe she is 5 and going to school! It will be fun to see her progress throughout the year and to see all the things she is going to learn!

A good friend of mine, Kristy, moved back to Utah after being gone for a long time. She has her little girl Katelyn that is the same age as Makena and they are good little buddies. Here they are after school was done. It is a bummer we couldn't get them in the same class...but at least they are both in the afternoon session and can see eachother at school and we still get together to play! It is fun having them back in Utah and living so close to us!!

She is so cute!! I can't believe she is going to school. Glad she has friends in her class and that she is loving it. Can't wait to talk to her more about it, and to ask them all about the wiggles :) Love ya
