The squirrels loved peanut M&Ms

Trying to find groundhogs or squirrels to feed

Hailey using a stick to poke people with

Walking to the river to throw rocks into the water

They made these silly hats out of leaves

Favorite part of the day...filling up buckets with dirt

Just waiting to catch a groundhog

Little groundhog that later would be caught!

Making silly faces for the camera

Gathering pine cones to throw into the little waterfall

Wearing Grandpa's jacket and eating the peanut butter meant for the squirrels and groundhogs. She LOVES peanuts!

Brother and Sister joining in on the fun

Falling into the river

Dad threw a big rock in and splashed Kali

Grandpa teaching Tyler how to saw wood

and how to break it with his feet

We brought up our marshmallow shooters and Kali and Jarel were having lots of fun with them. Jarel would blow a marshmallow into Kali's mouth through the shooter and Kali would try and do the same. I love these pictures of them blowing through the shooters. They were having just a good time!

Makena caught her a groundhog

Nervous in this picture because the groundhog was trying to dig its way out

Letting the groundhog go...can you see him in the bottom center of the picture?

Grandpa always makes sure to bring up the hammock. Kids love swinging in it.

Roasting hotdogs for dinner

Roasting marshmallow for smores

This year we couldn't go camping our usual 3 days because of schedules...but that was okay because I really didn't want to sleep in a tent with a newborn again. But we were able to go up for the whole day and spend the time in the mountains. We love it up in the mountains. My kids were thrilled to go up. They love getting dirty, looking for deer beds, throwing rocks in the river and cooking their food over a fire. Jarel was even able to get the day off and come up and join us. It was such a nice day away from the city and normal routine!
