Fly Away!

With our pilot, Grant. Grant is from Dallas Texas so Jarel and him talked about the Cowboys for a bit and Jarel was taking lessons from him on how to fly the plane!

We took a picture of the clouds so the kids could see that we were above the clouds...they thought that was really cool.

It was an 8 passenger plane.

Jarel and I had the opportunity to go to the UofU and Oregon State football game up in Oregon. (Oct 20th) Brent called up Jarel a couple of days before asking if he would want to come on their company plane to the game and help Chelsea's dad (he is in a wheelchair) on and off of the plane. Jarel said he would help (I mean...why not, right?) Turns out, they had 2 extra tickets and so I was able to go as well. We left the kids with my parents and in 12 hours we flew to Oregon, walked around Oregon for a little bit, ate dinner, went to the game, and flew back home. We got home about 2:00 in the morning. It was a lot of fun. A new adventure for the both of us. I was worried about the kids, but my parents said they did great! The Utes lost, but it was a nice time to spend with friends and especially Jarel. We don't go on many "dates" these days, so this was fun to be able to go.
