| After her first tooth came out! |
| After the 2nd tooth came out...notice the tears. That one hurt more, but she was a trooper. |
Ever since we went to the dentist at the beginning of November, and the dentist told Kali her 2 bottom teeth are loose, she has been working on them to get them out. She told everyone she could about her "wiggly" teeth (teachers, random people at the store, people at my work, family...anyone that would listen). She was so excited about having 2 loose teeth. She lost them yesterday! Well, the day finally came. I happened to be at the store, and when I came home, Kali came upstairs to tell me her teeth were really loose. She opened up her mouth and sure enough, very wiggly and bleeding. I knew they would be coming out. I got some floss and put it around the first tooth and out it popped. The tooth flew and it took a little bit, but we found it!! Kali was thrilled and couldn't believe she lost a tooth. I tried getting the second one out, but it didn't want to come. It was just hanging, but hanging tight. I tried the floss again, but it hurt Kali and she was done. So I let Kali rest, but I didn't want her swallowing the tooth or something...so I asked if I could just one more time. She let me, and I put the floss around and pulled and out came the 2nd tooth. The 2nd tooth wasn't as fun to get out, but once it was out she was excited.
We got out our special "tooth box" to put her teeth in for the Tooth Fairy. She called Grandmas and Grandpas to tell them the good news. That night she put her teeth under the pillow and the Tooth Fairy delivered.
She got a Dora movie and treat for the first tooth and a treat and dollar for the second tooth.
When Kali woke up in the morning (about 6:00) she came into my room saying, "Mom the Tooth Fairy came." I asked what she brought her and she said, "I will be right back." She went into her room and got the stuff. She went into the bathroom to really look at her stuff with the lights on and I just laid in bed and I hear "Yes...just what I wanted. I love it!" The magic of kids...LOVE IT!
