Kentucky

This past weekend, Braxton and I had the opportunity to go to Kentucky to visit Jacob, Katie and little Emmett! It was such a fun trip and so fun to see them. Braxton did great on the airplane ride there. He slept most of the time going! We did have to switch planes in Detroit, but we finally made it there. During our trip we went to the slugger museum and saw where all the baseball bats are made for the major league baseball teams, we went to some parks (very green back there), I saw fireflies for the very first time (they were so awesome. I would go out every night and just watch them. I would love those out here where we live), went to churchill downs on the way back to the airport, saw Jacob's school campus, walked by the river, and just was there to hang out and see their new little guy. I am grateful I got to go out there and that we were safe in our travels. On the way home I poured a bottle of milk for Braxton (he has to have lactose free milk and the airports don't carry that), but when we went through security the bottle beeped through and they redid the test and it beeped again so they wouldn't let it come with me. I was devastated because that is how Braxton would fall asleep was drinking a bottle of milk. And now I had no milk, and no bottle. I didn't know how he would do. But he did pretty well. We made it back to Detroit just fine (we were able to get 2 seats by ourselves so Braxton had room to play and move) and then he fell asleep on our plane to home. So it went better than I thought. I love my brother and was just thrilled to go back and see where he lives. I hope to get back there again before they leave.
