Potty Trained

This past week I decided it was time to potty train Hailey. I will be honest and say I dreaded the idea of doing this. Hailey has a mind of her own, stubborn and very independent. I didn't want to do it, but knew she could and that she was old enough. I started last Friday and that day wasn't the best. She didn't go on the potty all day and I had to put a diaper on her to run into work. So it wasn't successful. Saturday I asked if she wanted underwear and she told me no, so I really didn't push it because I didn't want to deal with accidents. And it was a busy day of running around. Sunday came and she wanted the diaper again and we had church so once again, I put a diaper on her. This potty training is going well on my part :)

But then after church, Hailey came to me and said she was ready to wear underwear. I put them on her and put her on the potty and she actually went on the potty (this was her first time). She and I were excited. But then she went in her room and peed in her underwear. This is one area I hate doing as a mom. I don't like cleaning up the accidents. After that accident, she hasn't had another accident. She took right to it and it has been successful!! I would say she has been my easiest doing the potty training thing. She gets "potty treats" when she goes and that seemed to do the trick. I was blessed to have Hailey catch on and was ready! She got Minnie Mouse underwear and was so excited. And this was a good time to do it because Hailey is off track for 3 weeks.
