Over Labor Day weekend, we went camping with Jarel's side of the family up in the Uintahs by Mirror Lake. It was beautiful up there. We had so much fun. The first night (while sleeping in a tent) it rained and was so windy, part of our tent fell down, and you could just hear the wind coming up the canyon and then shake our tent like crazy. We could also hear coyotes in the distance. It sure was a interesting night, but so fun. Probably crazy to say, but I loved it. It was fun lying there listening to the wind and rain and howling. It was cold up there and we kept a fire going all day, but it wasn't bad. We could defiantly leave the fire, but it felt good by it. Everyone in Jarel's family was able to come up at some point during the weekend and it was fun for the kids to have their cousins up there. We ate yummy dutch oven foods, roasted lots of marshmallows and enjoyed it up there. Lots of trips to the water to go panning for gold and to throw rocks in the water. Glad we could go up there and camp!
