On Sept 3rd, we went to a park and ate dinner and played on the zip line. We learned about this park from over hearing a conversation at Carl's Jr. and asked about it. It is just about 5 minutes away from our house. It was so much fun going on the zip line. I even went on it, and had a great time! Kali loved being pushed as hard as Dad could push her so she would get to the end and go bump into the end of the cable. She would laugh and laugh and sometimes rub her head because she would hit so hard her head would hit the chain. But she still wanted to go fast. Makena didn't like to bump at the end of the zip line, Dad had to take it easy on her. Tyler and Hailey just loved getting on it and going for a ride. It was a nice evening spent as a family!

Dog Sitting and Blanket Collecting
We watched our neighbor's dog over Labor Day weekend and the kids LOVED Daisy. They loved playing with her, feeding her and taking her on walks. They even tried teaching her a few tricks. She was a good little puppy for us and did good in a new environment.
Also, Makena was reading the friend one day and came across an article on the Humanitarian Center and how people make stuff or donate stuff to the center to help people. She wanted to make dolls, but that was out of my league. So she decided that she could collect blankets for people that won't have them. She wrote up a flier and we made copies and she took them around the neighborhood. On Saturday, we went collecting and she collected 68 blankets. She said (before we started to collect blankets) that she would be happy with 10. Once we got 68 blankets and people were saying they would bring over more, her goal grew to 100. She is up to 108 and now we just need to find the time to take them to the center! It was fun to watch her achieve her goal.
More 4 month pictures
I tried taking more 4 month pictures of Braxton...didn't go so well. Braxton kept looking all over the place...just not at the camera. He was more interested in the grass and the people outside. He would be looking right, I would go right and what would he do? Go left! Or if he did look at the camera, he wouldn't smile. I so wanted to capture his great smile!

The Color Run
One requirement for the race was you had to come in a white shirt!
Nickelodeon was there filming and they had kids run through the orange color for some pre-race fun.
Hot announcer guy for Molly!
First color...RED
Second color...BLUE
Third color...YELLOW
Fourth color...ORANGE
Festival of colors
Molly, Shirley and I did "The Color Run" yesterday. Molly talked me into doing it, and I'm glad she did. Did I prepare for the race, NO...do my legs still hurt from the race...YES! But it was a lot of fun. Every 1K there was a different color that they threw on you. And at the very end of the 5K race, there was a color festival where we each got a packet of color to throw up in the air when they said it was time. You came out of there completely colored! We had color everywhere, in places I didn't know color could get too. I showered and cleaned and cleaned and still had color get on my other clothes I put on. People there had on some fun outfits. Will we do it again...YES and this time we will be better prepared with what our fun outfits will be! Thanks Molly for asking me to join in on the fun!
