LadyBug Festival

At the Daybreak gardens

In our backyard getting ready to release the ladybugs.

Letting the ladybugs go. We had about 700 ladybugs.

Makena loved holding the ladybugs, but was a bit jumpy every time a ladybug would crawl on her leg without her knowing.

Tyler did well if he was just holding one ladybug and knew where it was at.

Hailey looking at the ladybugs. She didn't want to hold one and wasn't quite sure if she wanted to be that close to the ladybugs.

Every year Daybreak as a ladybug festival at the gardens. You can go and buy ladybugs and release them up there or bring them to your house. We brought them home and had quite the fun time watching them crawl everywhere and then fly away. Lots of fun. This was on June 22nd.

Kali tried to get as many as he could to crawl on her arm.

Hailey hasn't noticed that there is a ladybug on her leg...

just figured out she has a ladybug on her...

not liking it at all! I didn't get her reaction because I had to rescue her from the ladybug.

The ladybugs were everywhere. Crawling in the grass, on us, in the bushes and then flying away.

Makena wanted to make sure Braxton got his picture with the ladybugs.

Notice the ladybug in Hailey's hair!

Enjoying popsicles!

Sleeping

Braxton sleeps just like his Mom. Arms above his head, and covers kicked off!

Preschool Graduation

Getting ready for the program to start.

Singing their fishing song.

Singing "Are you sleeping?"

Kali got to be the helper for Mrs. Jean, giving her some money to buy a hat, as one of their stories they told.

Putting on a leave for the "Hungry Caterpillar."

Kali and Mrs. Jean

We have LOVED Mrs. Jean. Kali had such a fun year!
June 20th, Kali graduated from preschool! They put on a performance of songs, poems and stories they have learned throughout the year. It was so fun to go and watch. Kali has learned so much this year...some things include: writing her name, knowing all her letters and numbers, tying shoes, learning the Pledge of Allegiance, knowing her phone number and address, learning about caterpillars, what is a capital and lower case letter, learning the days of the week and months of the year. That is just some of the many things she has learned. Kali has loved going to preschool. There was never a day that she didn't want to go. She would have loved going every day if she could. Kali will miss Mrs. Jean, but Kali is so excited to be starting Kindergarten in August. I can't believe how much she has grown this past year. We got a picture at graduation from the first day to now. Wow...she grew up!
