Today at school, Makena had her science fair. I, I mean Makena, has been working on this project for the past week. Thinking of something she could do and then getting the presentation put together. Makena decided it would be fun to see what dissolves in water. She thought of things to put in water to see if they would dissolve. She thought of salt, oil, rocks, leaves, sugar and flour. We put the items in water and it was a fun project for her to do. She thought it was cool that once the sugar was in, then it was gone. And thought it was funny that the rocks and leaves stayed in the water.
She took the project to school and presented it to her class, her 4th grade buddy and some of the kids parents. I felt bad that I wasn't able to go and see her do this, but my neighbor told me that Makena did a great job and describing what she did.
Makena said that she had a fun time telling people what she had done!
