First Two Weeks

What a first two weeks it has been since Makena got off track. It has been fun and adventurous. Here are some things that we have done these past 2 weeks. I know these next 2 weeks will go just has fast and I am sad about that. It is fun to have Makena off track so we don't have to have a schedule and can do what we want, when we want. She gets bored in the afternoons while the little 3 are asleep, but we try to keep her entertained with projects to do. Makena has been counting down to Christmas with our 5 countdowns and everyday she wakes up and tells me how many more days are left. She is so excited this year!

These pictures are somewhat out of order, but oh well.

We finished the week with the Ashdown Christmas party (12/18). It was a lot of fun. We got to visit with people we only see 1-2 times a year, we played some minute-to-win-it games, we ate, opened presents and overall had a good time.

Makena doing a stacking cup game. Her and Grandma did pretty well.

Makena won this reindeer for playing the game! She was thrilled to get it.

The look on her face was full concentration. She did a great job and nobody could help her...she had to do it by herself!

Kali got some sidewalk chalk

We also had a snowball (cottonball) relay and fight(12/17). There were many tears shed in this game because someone always seemed to have more cottonballs than the other person and so it wasn't fair. But they did have fun when they weren't crying. We tried...

Love this face!

Hailey slept through the whole game and "snowball fight"

Tyler had a fashion show with Makena and Kali's clothes. He would put on an outfit and come out and show me. He would get embarrassed and wouldn't like me to take pictures of him, but we got a couple. This boy LOVES putting on his sister's clothes. We don't have to force this upon him at all. He does it all the time, and I have to be careful because most of the time he takes off his diaper along with his clothes. So we have to be quick to get a diaper back on him!

Tyler chillin on the couch

Wearing Makena's pajamas. We went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch (just the drive thru) and he didn't want to take these off. On the way back he fell asleep in them, and when he woke up, we went downstairs to work with dad on the basement in princess pajamas.

Tyler trying to pull up his pants, but couldn't because they were on backwards.

He ran out and we started laughing and he got embarrassed and I had a hard time getting a picture of him because he kept running away from me.

The kids had a Grandparent/Grandkid Christmas party (12/11) with Grandpa and Grandma Boyack. I worked that day, but when I came home the kids told me all about it and Makena had to tell me that her, Grandpa and Tyler won the fill the Christmas stocking game. They had a great time and love their Grandpa and Grandma!

Tyler fell off the kitchen chairs and landed on the tile giving him this nice goose egg on his head (12/13). He is always getting bumps and bruises on his head!

We went and saw Santa's reindeer(12/13). We have an Elk farm nearby and so we like to drive past to see if the reindeer are there...because if they are, that means Santa isn't too far away!

Kali with the reindeer.

Do you see Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donder, Blitzen or Rudolph? Makena said she saw a little red on one of the noses, so that must have been Rudolph. Nobody else saw it because the reindeer was turned away from us, but she did and it was great!!

Tyler and Kali...love that Kali is in her Halloween pajamas (she would wear them everyday if she could...do have to wash them at some point)

These reindeer weren't fighting at all...just hitting their antlers together.

Kali put a hole in Grandpa and Grandma Boyack's bathroom wall after she hung on the towel rack (12/12). She came and told me that the towels fell down and so I went to see and the towels had definately fell to the ground along with the bar and part of the wall. Little stinker. Grandpa told her "we don't hang on that." Kali's response, "I don't hang on mine at home." Jarel got it patched up.

We had fun taking pictures with the camera. The girls want a camera for Christmas and I hope Santa brings them one, because they are always wanting to take pictures and use my camera. Come on Santa...help a mom out!!

Kali and Hailey - always wanting to hold Hailey.

Kali trying her skills with the camera...not too bad!

Makena wanted to take a picture of "Ellis, the elf" that comes to visit us every December and reports back to Santa if the kids have been good that day.

Hailey, happy as can be!

I love the look Hailey gave me in this picture...
