Egg Scramble

This year we took the kids to the South Jordan park for the candy and egg scramble. The kids always enjoy it and were so excited to get their egg hunt buckets out. It is of course always crowded, but my kids are just so excited to run and pick up as many candy and eggs as they can/want.
Hailey and Kali before the hunt
Hailey standing in front of her prized egg. She was so upset watching the volunteers put out all the candy and eggs on the lawn and not being able to go get any. She was crying real tears and it was hard to keep her on my lap as they were getting the field ready. Once the siren blew and all the kids ran out, she got off my lap, found an orange egg and went and got it. She was in heaven. That was all she needed. She was so happy, she opened the egg, saw what was inside and ate the piece of candy. (Hailey went with Kali and Tyler's age group because we too many kids in different age groups! So it was hard for her to get many eggs. But I don't think she even cared. She got her one egg and was delighted)
Hailey was so excited when she put her egg inside her bucket.
Makena after the egg hunt. She got quite a bit of goodies!
Makena and Tyler waiting for the egg hunt by Dad. Tyler eventually came over to me to go with the littler kids.
Tyler not waiting to eat his candy. He was so excited he got a couple of eggs and "lots of candy."
Hailey giving me her wrapper from her treat
After the hunt with their mouths full of candy
A favorite part of the egg hunt is seeing the fire truck. Tyler was so excited to see it. They couldn't go in it this year because they firemen were getting ready to go, but they got to quickly look inside and sit on the front bumper for the picture.
Kali with her bucket of treats. Her favorite thing she got was a Chick-Fil-A cow pez dispenser. She tried running to the middle to get a big chocolate bunny and when she came back to me she said, "Mom, I didn't get the bunny but I got this (holding the pez up)"
