Today, Makena started 2nd grade. She has Mrs. Johnsen as a teacher. We are on D track this year, so this has been the longest summer vacation for us. We had a good time with no school and no schedule. Makena did not want to go back to school this year at all. I think in most it is the homework that she doesn't want to start again. She likes seeing her friends and has quite a few of them in her class again this year. When she came home from school, she said she had a good day (but still doesn't want to go back tomorrow!)
