She named them Oreo and Cookies N Cream We took the kids over to a friend's house about 2 weeks ago that were giving away bunnies. We just said we were going to look at them. We got there and the kids loved them, Jarel and I knew we were going to get one for Makena, but she had no idea. So while we were there, we were asking her what kind she liked just so we knew which one to pick out for her. She liked Cookies N Cream the best that day. Jarel has been working on the rabbit hutch this last week, getting it ready. We told the kids it was a tool box that he was working on. We really wanted this to be a surprise for Makena. While working on the tool box, Tyler would ask "how are tools going to fit in here?" But they had no idea that it was a bunny hutch. We went to dinner tonight with Grandma and Grandpa Boyack (Dad, Grandpa Hathaway had to work late, and Grandma Hathaway stayed to wait for Grandpa) to Cafe Rio. While we were gone, I had friends decorate the bunny hutch for us. I had gotten the bunnies earlier that day (I dropped the kids off at my mom's so I could get them without the kids knowing). I was going to just get one, but when I got there they still had 2 available, so I got another :) After Makena opened up her other presents, I told her to come around and see what else she got. She walked around the corner and saw the back of the hutch all decorated and gave us a disgusted look as if to say, "really guys, you gave me the tool box?!?!" I told her to walk around it and when she saw the bunnies, she couldn't believe it! So excited, pure joy. A very fun night of surprises for her. Hard to believe she is 9 years old. Some of her favorites: color: pink food for lunch: hot dogs food for breakfast: instant oatmeal or cereal with no milk on it thing to drink: milk things to do: swimming lessons, going to Grandpa and Grandma's house, playing with friends, going camping, staying up late and watching movies, loves wearing tank tops and flip flops, riding her bike and razor scooter |
