Getting to touch a donkey
We went to the live nativity tonight with my mom. It was a 2 1/2 hour wait…it was a long wait and the kids didn't enjoy the wait at all. I was tempted to leave several times, but we stayed. I had every kid crying at some point during the wait…why you might ask did I stay? I stayed to give my kids a spiritual boost…to have them feel the spirit. As you walk into the nativity, you feel a calm and spirit as soon as you walk inside. And as you go around the corner and hear music…the spirit is strong and then they get to see baby Jesus. Even though this is a replicate of the first nativity…the spirit is full and strong inside. It is always special to see. I hope the kids could feel it.
I need to do better at having the spirit felt strong in their lives, more experiences and more spirit in our home. |
