Happy Birthday, HAILEY!!

Happy Birthday to the best 1 year old!!
What a fun year it has been, with you here everyday. You bring so much smiles, joy, laughter, hugs, kisses and spunk to our family. You are truly a blessing!

She started to day off with a warm bottle of milk (nothing says Happy Birthday than that). Then we took Makena and Kali to school. You played with toys, ate some more, took a nap and waited and waited all day until your party! Grandpa and Grandma Hathaway, Grandpa and Grandma Boyack, Aunt Jenny, Uncle Ben, Gretchen and Ryan all came over to help celebrate. You opened up your presents and got some fun toys. You got a walker that you can push and walk with, a train that pops out balls, and a fun car garage with lots of noisy cars. You love them all.
After presents, we sang Happy Birthday to you and then you got to dig into your cake. You started off by a small pinch, tasted it and knew it was a good thing. The small pinch went away and you used more fingers, then your hand and then you went for it with your mouth. It was so fun to watch. You LOVED it and had fun eating it.
You then played more with your toys, finished off the day with another warm bottle of milk and then went to bed. It was a good day!

So a very Happy Birthday to Hailey!!!

Chillin before the party
Her birthday cake

Excited to open the presents
I ordered the cake from Harmons, and when it is their first birthday, they include a "smash cake" for them!
She knew exactly what to do with the paper...rip it off!

As we were singing "Happy Birthday" to her

First taste of her birthday cake
Getting more than 2 fingers in the cake

Fascinated by the candle as we were singing
Eating yummy cake..she LOVED it!
Going for it

Who needs hands, when you can just use your mouth!

Hailey didn't want to let go of my mom's finger
Hailey took her first steps on Sept. 12th, and loves pushing this while walking. Won't be long and she will be walking all over.
Yummy! Once she started throwing the cake on the ground, I knew she was done and then she was off to play with her new toys!
