Happy 8th Birthday!

Happy 8th Birthday! 

It has been a fun day for Makena. She had school, but was excited to celebrate it this year IN school. She took treats into her class and I went in and told a few stories about her. She also did a poster with information and a picture about her. Then the kids and I brought her lunch at school and ate with her. Makena wanted McDonalds. It was really fun eating with her and seeing her interact with her friends. After school she played with friends until it was time for swimming lessons. Next we came home and she opened up her present from us. All she wanted was a tumbling mat so she could practice her tricks on. She was so excited when she opened it up! We then went to Cafe Rio for dinner with Grandpas and Grandmas. When I asked her a couple of days ago what kind of cake she wanted, she said she really just wanted the tres leche cake from Cafe Rio! So we just did her whole birthday celebration there including cake and presents. She loved it! 

Makena is a beautiful, smart, fun girl. She is always thinking of others and is trying her best to be a good sister. She loves playing with friends, the color pink, being outside, camping, wearing tank tops, going to Menchies for frozen yogurt, watching Netflix, dogs, and any sweet treat. Those 8 years sure have gone fast, but they have been 8 wonderful, happy years! So proud of Makena and blessed to have her in our home!
