St Patrick's Day

The kids set up the Leprechaun trap the night before

After they set up the trap, the kids decided it needed gold (rolls) to lure the Leprechauns in the trap

Happy Kids. On the trap they wrote, Welcome Leprechauns: Gold and Rainbows inside!

When the kids woke up they found that the Leprechauns were mischievous last night. They found their shoes in the oven, chairs turned upside down, all the water (plant water, humidifier water, toilet water, bottle water) were all green, the milk was green, clothes were up on our ceiling fan and their pots were hidden. The kids were able to find their pots and found gold chocolate coins inside.

Tyler got a Leprechaun catching kit at school. He was determined to catch one. Him and Makena spent a good portion of the afternoon outside trying to catch one. They couldn't get one, but they have plans already for a better trap next year.

You have to wear green ears and all green so you can look like a Leprechaun so they will come to you. He also got some string to tie them up, a bell to ring so the Leprechauns will come, a feather to tickle them with and a Laffy Taffy to tell the Leprechaun a joke when he catches one.

Making the trap the night before. They had a great time…They made the trap tall hoping that if a Leprechaun fell in, it wouldn't be able to get out. This morning, the trap was on its side and the words "nice try" were written on the trap.

St. Patrick's day has become a favorite holiday for me. I love the mischievous of the day, the green with everything and the kids trying to plan on how to catch a Leprechaun. It was a fun day!
