This past Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we went camping up at Redman campground. We look forward to this every year. My parents always go out of their way to make a great camping trip! We were lucky to see lots of deer, moose, chipmunks, squirrels, groundhogs and birds. We even saw a mom moose with her 2 babies, they were walking right through our camp early in the morning. We played games, ate good food, went on lots of hikes, captured chipmunks and ground hogs (Tyler spent hours catching the little critters and always wanted a picture of when he caught one), slept in Grandpa Hathaway's trailer (he was kind enough to bring it up for us), played in the hammock, cooked over the fire, told night stories around the fire, saw a baby bird that must have just hatched the day before we got there, fell in the river (okay so I was the only one that fell in the river! My dad, Tyler, Ryan and Hailey were all with me. We went down to the river to throw rocks in and we decided to cross the river. My dad stood on this tree log and helped the little ones across. I went to stand on this tree log and it moved and in the river I went. A tender mercy…my pants were soaked except my pocket that held my phone. Wow…so blessed. It is an expensive phone which we don't have money to fix so for that I am grateful), we played with pipe cleaners, did the string game through the forest, we threw rocks in the river, walked to the waterfall, and just hung out and enjoyed ourselves. Nobody wanted to go home. We enjoyed ourselves a lot this year! Such a fun memory for our kids!
