Throwing up our color

For my birthday this year, the color run fell on it! It was an awesome way to start the day!
Cool thing happened. It was suppose to rain all morning. During the night I woke up about 4:00 and saw tons of lightening and heard the thunder and rain. It was raining heavy and I was thinking we were going to get poured on. I did, I said a prayer just saying, please if it is going to rain just let it be a light sprinkle. I would prefer no rain and just for me on my birthday that is all I want was no rain on the race. I felt bad for all the people doing the race for the first time, I really wanted them to enjoy it without the rain. Well that morning we got up to get ready to go and the clouds were gone! The sun was coming out and we didn't get one drop of rain on the race. I know that prayers are answered, even when you ask for maybe something you feel silly, but it was important to me and Heavenly Father knew that and he blessed us. It gives me a stronger testimony that Heavenly Father knows each one of us as an individual and loves us!
Back to the race…we had a great time. Jarel, Makena and myself stayed together and ran and walked through all the amazing colors!! We just enjoyed ourselves. Can't wait to do it again next year!
After the race I didn't want to just come home and do nothing, so we went to Thanksgiving farm for the pig day. I enjoy the farm a lot. It is quiet, and not too crowded, but fun things to do. They had special games and prizes there today for the bacon/pig day.
We got pig noses, the kids got to ride the ponies, we played bacon land (like candy land), rode the wagon ride and saw all the animals. It was a fun day with family for me!
We ended the day at Cafe Rio :)
