When the reindeer food was all spread, we got ready and headed to Jarel's family's Christmas Eve party. We had dinner, the kids got to do a pinata and get plenty of treats, and they also got to open presents. We brought 3 gifts, one Tyler, Kali and Makena, and we ended up bringing 2 of our gifts home that we brought. None of the kids wanted to take someone elses gift, they each wanted to open one up.
It was a fun little party. And at the end, they passed around a wrapped small box of cereal for everyone. That was the one gift you could count on every year from Jarel's Grandma. It was her little thing, and she loved giving cereal to every one. We kept one wrapped up and put it in my curio cabinet as a little reminder of her.
When the party was all done, we got the kids dressed in their pj's, went home and put out cookies for Santa, carrots for the reindeer, and cereal for Ellis.
The kids were all excited to get to bed so that Santa could come! And we had no problems getting them to stay in bed and sleep. All the excitement and activities today wore them out and they went right to sleep!
