Park

Last night was one of those nights, that I needed to get out of the house before I went crazy. So we decided to take the kids to a nearby park and let them play on the ropes, slide and play in the sand. It is right by a lake in Daybreak. It was a nice relaxing outing for all of us.

Kali climbing on the jungle gym ropes.

Tyler on the bridge.

Tyler was so excited about being on this bridge, but when it moved he kept saying "ooooo"

Makena playing on the jungle gym

Makena and Kali in the "soup basket."

The kids watching the sunset.

Watching the sunset by the lake.

Kali and Tyler...good little buddies.

Jarel, Kali and Makena looking at the water. This was before we told the kids about the whale, so that is why Makena is that close to the water!

Tyler stomping the sand.

Tyler ruining one of many of the girls sandcastles that they start to build. He was a little stinker and every time the girls started to build a sandcastle, he would go over and ruin it. Jarel finally made him one for himself so that he could destroy that one and the girls could build theirs.

Makena building a sandcastle.

Makena took this picture of the sunset with the lake.

Tyler digging in the sand. He found a little doll that he buried and was digging to find it.

Kali and Makena making their sandcastle "big, big, big"

Makena showing me how big the sandcastle got.

We told the kids that there was a whale in the lake. We kept showing them the ripples in the lake and telling them that was the "whale." We told them they had to look close to see if they could see it. It was mean, but funny to watch their little faces and think that a whale actually was in there. Makena wanted nothing to do with this "whale", but Kali wanted to go see if they could see it. So, Jarel, Tyler and Kali set off to go look for the "whale." No such luck in seeing this "whale." Maybe next time!

Kali was only able to see some fish in the lake.
