Sick Girl

I know when Makena takes a nap in the middle of the day, she is not feeling well. She was up all last night (from about 1:00-5:00) throwing up. I woke up to that dreaded sound of her throwing up. I went into her room and she said, "Mom, I threw up. I gagged." I thought it was just a little amount, but I was wrong. It was all over the bed. So we cleaned her and the bed up and set up a temporary bed on the floor, gave her a bowl "just encase" and we attempted to go back to bed. I was really hoping that she did gag, which caused her to throw up. My kids have their dad's gag reflex...which isn't good.

Well, 10 minutes later she threw up again and it didn't stop. Poor thing, she had nothing in her belly to throw up but she kept doing it. She was so thirsty so I would give her a little sip of water, but that would come right back up.

Kali couldn't sleep either, she was awake from the sound. So the 3 of us headed to the front room, turned on a movie and snuggled in blankets. Makena continued to throw up throughout the movie, but once the movie had ended, Kali was asleep, Makena was asleep, I was feeding Hailey and then I fell asleep. Thank goodness today was Sunday so we got to sleep in and Jarel didn't have to go to work.

We didn't do much today, just tried to relax and get Makena feeling better, which she is.
