Fireworks and Cousin Time

Tonight we went to Grandpa and Grandma Hathaway's for dinner, play with cousins and fireworks. It was great to let the kids run around with their cousins and have a fun time. We usually see Courtney, Kim and the kids about 2 times a year, which is a bummer (wish we saw them more) so it was nice to just visit and see the kids playing with each other.
Grandpa bought a big box of fireworks that the kids were thrilled to see. Kali is still not quite sure of the fireworks and doesn't want to get close to them, but with a friend and blanket...she does just fine watching them!
The 4th of July is a favorite holiday for me. I love the meaning of it, the warm nights, good food, family time and fireworks. I always look forward to the 4th and was glad this year it is on a Monday so we get 4 days to celebrate it!

Allicen and Makena...they LOVE playing with each other and are inseparable when they are together. They are always so sad to leave each other. Makena wishes she got to see Allicen more!
