Disneyland/California Adventure

Here are pictures from Monday and Tuesday at Disneyland/California Adventure.
When we originally planned our trip, we planned to go to the park on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. It didn't even register that Wednesday was Leap Day and that Disneyland was staying opened 24 hours. We debated if we should leave early Monday morning from Nevada and drive to get to Disneyland before noon so that we could have at least 7-8 hours at the park (and we knew the weather wasn't going to be the best) or if we should just go on Wednesday with the crowds of people.
We decided to get up early, leave and get to Disneyland on that Monday. We got into the park before 1:00 and it was nice. There were clouds in the sky, but it didn't look like it would rain. We were wrong. It rained most of the time, off and on, while we were there on Monday. It made for light crowds, no lines for the rides and we got to go on all the rides we wanted and see characters that if it were crowded would have been a very long wait to see. Looking back, we were so glad we went on Monday instead of Wednesday (I've heard and read that it was very crowded and packed that day). And we were glad to have a break from Disneyland on Wednesday. Come Tuesday night, I think we all needed a break and it was a nice relaxing day to get us ready to go back to Disneyland on Thursday.
Monday and Tuesday were full of fun and excitement.

Hailey waiting while the others went on Autopia
Hailey loved going up and down the ramp and waving to the cars
Jarel and Tyler on the Buzz Lightyear ride. One of their favorite rides!
Tyler walking back to the hotel from Downtown Disney with sword in his jacket.
Makena with the castle lit up at night

Minnie Mouse

Kali, Makena and Ashten
Tyler and Jarel
Part of the parade. Disney always puts on a fun parade and the girls really enjoyed watching it (Tyler fell asleep and Hailey went back to the hotel with Grandpa). I'm glad we stayed to watch it. The girls were waving to all the princess and dancing. So much fun!
Makena and Hayden
Tyler getting ready. This was one of his favorite rides!
The gang at the Birthday Party
Allicen and Makena. The Tuesday that we were there, it was Allicen's birthday and so they came to Disneyland to celebrate. Grandpa and Grandma Hathaway treated us to a birthday celebration in Disneyland for her birthday. The kids got to decorate their very own cake (which they loved), and then they got to see Mickey and Minnie. It was a fun time. And it was fun to see Courtney, Kim and the kids and spend some time with them.
Kali and Ashten

Who needs a fork!
The favorite part for all my kids...the frosting!

Tyler working on his masterpiece
Getting her cake decorated just right.
First taste of the frosting. Loving it!
Makena was brave enough to go on the Tower of Terror!! After the ride I asked if she liked it and she said it was scary. She went on new rides this trip. She went on Indian Jones, Tower of Terror, Big Thunder Railroad and Splash Mountain.
I didn't get pictures of Kali on her new rides. She went on Splash Mountain, Space Mountain and Big Thunder Railroad. She didn't like any of them. When Kali was told that we were going back to Disneyland again, she said "NO, I don't want too. I don't like those rides." I told her she didn't have to ride on them again and she said, "Good, they were terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible!!"
In Bug's Land
Getting ready to decorate their cakes
Kali wasn't into these type of rides. She thought they were scary, but once we were inside and she realized that is was a fun game, she started shooting her gun.
Tyler loved shooting the gun on Toy Story
Hailey didn't want to be left out in the 3-D glasses department!
Makena, Tyler and Kali with Woody
My Dad on Toy Story
Sporting their 3-D glasses for the Toy Story ride
Kali with Mr. Potato Head
Waiting to give High-5s to Buzz
Tyler thought he was so funny wearing his glasses on his head!

Grandma, Hailey, Makena, Kali with TinkerBell
In Pixie Hollow

Tyler's favorite sheriff! He loves Woody and was so excited to see him.

Hailey with Grandma's glasses on

Being silly while waiting in line
Feeding the ducks potato chips
This is what Hailey, Tyler and I did while the others rode a ride. They really enjoyed watching the ducks eat.

Giving loves to Rabbit and Winnie the Pooh

Makena with Aladdin
Flynn Rider and Molly

Grandpa and Tyler
Meeting Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. With the weather being rainy...we didn't have to wait too long to see them!
Grandpa making silly faces at Hailey
Jarel and Kali
Tyler in Dumbo

Hailey loved the merry-go-round
Kali tying her seat belt into a knot

In the monkey cage on Cassey Junior's Train
Getting ready to meet Donald Duck
Tyler and Grandpa on Autopia. I was so glad Tyler was tall enough to go on it. He LOVED driving the car and collecting all the driver's license that they hand out.
Love how Tyler is holding Rabbit's hand!
Meeting Eeyore

Makena and Molly on Autopia
With Donald Duck. The kids really liked the characters this time. Hailey didn't like turning around to have her picture taken (she probably didn't know what those characters would be during with a turned back!) but she loved waving to them.

Our first character we saw as we entered the park on Monday!
