I forgot to post this about Valentine's Day. As I was sewing in my craft room, Makena came to me asking if I had a frame she could have. I just happened to have a frame and gave it to her. Well, she got to work cutting and taping. She kept telling me not to look over in her direction. She involved Kali and Tyler in the making of this frame. Once done, she asked for a picture of the kids and then off the 3 went into their bedroom to finalize the frame. They wrapped it up and gave Jarel and I this frame the day before Valentine's Day. They were so excited to give it to us along with a note that read, "Happy Valentine's Day Mom and Dad. We love you!" Makena is such a thoughtful person...always thinking of others. She constantly gives of herself and is such a great example to me and her siblings! It was such a sweet surprise and one that will be treasured.
